5D JUNIOR PATHWAY

At 5th Dimension Tennis, every junior has a place within our structured pathway, ensuring players of all starting levels are supported, challenged, and given opportunities to progress.

Starting with Hot Shots and structured beginner match play in lessons, we nurture emerging talent through a clearly defined development journey that ultimately prepares Juniors to compete confidently at every stage in their development.

WHAT IS A UTR?

A UTR Rating (Universal Tennis Rating) is a number that provides a real and accurate measurement of skill level. A player's UTR Rating is a number between 1.00 and 16.50.

The coaching team will match your playing level (UTR) with the most appropriate playing level /team for you in the WDTA pathway.

Don’t have a UTR? No problem! The Coaching Team will assist all new players in getting started in your goal setting and getting started in competitive play.

WAVERLEY DISTRICT TENNIS ASSOCIATION (WDTA)

The Waverley District Tennis Association (WDTA) Weekend Junior Competition is a cornerstone of the competitive pathway at Legend Park Tennis Club, offering our aspiring juniors an invaluable opportunity to gain consistent match experience within a structured team format.

As a proud WDTA club, Legend Park plays an important role in supporting this local competition, providing a familiar and accessible environment where players can apply their training under real match conditions. Through weekly team-based competition, players develop tactical awareness, resilience under pressure, teamwork skills, and the confidence required to thrive in competitive tennis.

WDTA competition bridges the gap between coaching sessions and higher-level tournament play — ensuring every player has a clear, supported pathway from development squads through to structured match play.

ASSOCIATIONS JUNIOR PENNANT (AJP)

Associations Junior Pennant provides high-level competition for the aspiring junior player. The league is age-based, with players selected to represent their associations and compete against their peers across the 10-week season. AJP provides an ongoing player development pathway for high performing juniors in a team environment.
